1. Recipes- Ants On A Log 12/4/12

Ingredients: Raisin's, Celery (cut), Low Calorie Peanut Butter, Measuring Spoon (1 Tbl.Sp)

First measure 1 table spoonful of peanut butter for each celery stick you have. 

Then spread onto celery sticks.

Once the peanut butter is spread you're ready to arrange your raisins (ants) on the celery (log).

Finally grab a glass of water and enjoy your healthy snack. Don't be afraid to share!

Nutritional Facts

Reasoning: This snack is great on multiple levels. First, its nutritional value is greatly lower than other snack foods and more filling. Secondly, the ingredients come from all over the food pyramid. The peanut butter gives your body fat and protein, the raisins are carbohydrates, and the celery counts as a vegetable. All these foods together add up to a low calorie snack, which may be lower than listed because celery  has negative calories. This means that celery burns calories as your body digest's the long fiber ridden strands. Lastly, the taste is key when your trying to watch calories and this snack will make your taste buds smile each time!
